Scouting for Food Scouting for food is a mandatory event for all the
troop. During the day Saturday, the Cub Scouts go out to pick up the food and bring
it to the center in their cars. Then we go to the cars and take the food out,
transport it into the center then sort, package, and store all food in their appropriate
places. The troop is always more than happy to do the job. We have a lot of
fun, even though it's a lot of work. We listen to music and even get a pizza halfway
through as a treat. It is a good community service project and it allows the troop
to be recognized within the community. This is only one of the many Community
Service projects we do every year. |
