Daniel Boone - 36th Patriot Days Encampment

This years Daniel Boone Encampment fee is $25, to cover food, camping and your patch.  Your money for camp is due at our Court of Honor in May (the last Thursday of the month).    Please see Chris P. to be sure your name is on the roster and to sign up for events.

Activities you can plan on - please see Chris P. to sign up for these ahead of time:

  • Races 3/4 mile (11 and under), mile run (12 and over), 1 3/4 mile runs (open to everyone)    

  • Troop Games (to be announced)

  • Orienteering Competition (long pants are required, teams are 2-4 people, bring your own compass)

  • 1st Aid Challenge (bring blanket, triangular bandages, gauze pads, short and medium splints)

  • Campsite Competition

  • Gateway Competition

  • Dessert Cooking Contest (Scouts only)

  • Campfire program

  • Saturday Night Dance

  • Saturday Night movie

  • Homestead Tours

Last years writeup

    Everyone that will go will enjoy this weekend.  If you go every year you will see the same activities, but with the Volleyball Tournament and the Saturday Night Dance you won't be bored and you'll want to come back over and over again.   It was very HOT there last year so make sure you wear appropriate clothing for this year (check weather).  The younger scouts can enjoy a movie or two instead of going to the dance if they would like.  Its interesting to talk with other scouts from all over.  the good thing about his camp is that all the troops going camp in the same place so it is fun to walk around and find your budies from other troops.
