Rehoboth Camping WeekendWhat a great way to start the Fall Term off. We head a driving rain all the way from Royersford to Rehoboth. As we pulled in to the Indian River Inlet Coast Guard Station the rain stopped. We were able to set up camp pretty easy and the Coast Guard let us camp right on their front yard. We had a beautiful view of the River and the Ocean. of course, you know the fishing bug bit everyone. before you knew it we were all lined up at the wall baiting our hooks and dropping our lines. Everyone (no exaggeration) caught fish that weekend. In fact, here is Colin with the first catch of the evening. You can see the crew that went down for the weekend camp. We had a good turnout. As the day got warmer, the guys put on their shades and took it easy but kept on fishing. We went clamming (nice smell huh!), we even got to see a Coast Guard Dolphin Helicopter land right in front of us. They gave us a nice tour of the helicopter and told us what it is like to be a Coast Guard pilot. We kept on fishing and caught flounder, striper and blue fish. See you there next year. |
