Golden Age Manor 2004 |
We celebrated another year with the residents at Golden Age Manor Retirement Community. It is always a treat to work with the Seniors from the Community. We know they enjoy the meal and the Patrol Entertainment. This years skits and songs were especially entertaining. The dinner went over very well, and once again, the Seniors presented a gift of appreciation to the Troop. See you at Golden Age Manor next year!
Tablecloths, napkins, table favors and decorations were donated in Loving Memory of John P. Nuttall who faced a difficult illness most of his elderly years with courage and love. Also for a rich tapestry of family members who we are thankful for. The Corbin Family - Jordan & Jacquelyn Corbin.
Terry and I would like to thank the parents who volunteered their time to shop and cook and work the kitchen for this event: Mrs. App, Mrs. Bryant, Mrs. Corbin, Mrs. Eveland, Mrs, Garvin, Mrs. Motsek, Mrs. Robin, Mr. Suraci, Mrs, Spivey, Danny S., (here's hoping I didn't mess up and forget someone) many thanks to the moms & dads who baked all of that ziti - this would have been a couple of days work in those small ovens. And of course those delicious cheery pies, the extras will be served at our upcoming Court of Honor - yum.
The set begins early Saturday morning. The food gets prepped, and the hall gets decorated.
Dinner is served! The Seniors enjoyed the fine dining and their fellowship. The Scouts did a great job. The Social Chairman from Golden Age manor residents presents a gift of appreciation to the Troop.
Here's some of their fine entertainment below.
The Squirrel Skit - "they think I'm nuts".
Beaver Song - "Beaver's 1 & Beaver's 2, let's all join the Beaver crew"
Pilot Skit - "Hola Jack", not "Hi Jack"
Infant Tree Skit - "The Infantry is coming"
Invisible Bench Skit - "Oh no who moved it?"
Man Eating Chicken Skit - "who knew what all that clucking
behind the curtain was about"
Pirate Skit - "bring me my red coat mate"
