Nov. 19 - Scouting For Food – Project Outreach. Troop 406 responded to our major community service event by having nearly 100% attendance. There were 4 Excused Scouts, 3 Un-excused Scouts and 6 Inactive Scouts missing. {A reminder, if you missed this public service opportunity excused or un-excusedit is expected that you will find alternative community service. Your intentions must be approved by the Scoutmaster prior to your performing that service.} There was also a good presence of adult leadership available both at the food drive and the Donut Day taking place concurrently at the church. There was more than 13,000 items gathered, sorted and packed for Project Outreach. Thank you Scouts and adults for helping make Thanksgiving better for many less fortunate and needy families and individuals. Mr. Fryer expected to make 200 dozen donuts but the donut volunteers topped 400 dozen. Thank you to the adult leaders and parents who helped with that major undertaking! It was an industrious and fruitful day for Troop 406 and the Community.
