A small contingent from our Troop, family members and a
Webelos guest
visited Spring-Ford Historical Society's museum and Scout exhibition. We had
a very nice tour guided by James Burns, curator of the Scout exhibit. We saw
more Scout memorabilia than thought possible plus a lot of historical
information about how Royersford and Spring City happened to grow where they
are. The Scouts had question sheets to find answers located throughout the
museum. They must have been paying attention as they had most of the answers
when completed. The range opf items found were from knitting machines,
parlor stoves, milk bottles, an antique wooden wheel hair to railroad, fire
and military uniforms! Refreshments were available at the wrap-up session. A
pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning.
